How do the numbers work for plugs?

normally your ears will be pierced with a 20/18 gauge needle

as it goes down in number it will be bigger

from smallest to biggest

16 gauge to a 00 gauge

it can get bigger than that

biggest that i know is 1"

so 0 is not the biggest

Oh no! A size 0 is the equivalent to 8mm's. Pretty much. The higher the number of the size is a smaller size in plugs. (Like 20g/18g=standard size earring.) The smaller the number, the bigger it will be.

There are also plugs/eyelets that can go over 2 inches. But remember if you want to go bigger, try using a taper!
