  2. The priestess, Shamhat, in the Epic of Gilgamesh, represents the freedom of women, sexual liberation, equality of the sexes and also the important role of the Mother-aspect in society as a whole.

    Eve represents almost the polar opposite: she is shown to be subservient, easily corrupted, stupid.

    Unfortunately for everyone, more people took the story of Eve to heart and thought that's how things should be
