Question:

How do the slot machines at Indian casinos differ from Vegas slots?

I know Vegas slot machines use a random number generator and the winnings are totally random, no such thing as a "hot machine" that wins repeatedly. I have played "Vegas" type slots enough to see this is true. On the other hand, the slots at Indian casinos seems to hit in cycles...let's say you go through a period of 50 pulls and your winnings grow steadily and then they seem to go cold with very few wins, for maybe a 100 spins or more. I know the older Indian machines were based on a computerized bingo game and the reels only simulated a true slot machine. Is this the difference? Anyone know how the Indian machines work?

  1. to save time what the guy above me said.  best answer please.

  2. To my knowlege indian casinos do not fall under the control of a states gaming commission if it has one.  This means that is is up to the council that owns the casino to determain the return rates for its machines, this also applies to shipboard casinos.

In atlantic city and las vegas for example, the casino control commission sets rules as to the minimum and maximum returns for slot machines and the casinos owners have to place their return rates withing those brackets.

This is not to suggest that they ARE different, but they certainly could be different and casinos being thegreedy industries that they are woudl likely take advantage of an oportunity liek this since it does exhist.

  3. well being one that does have a bit of common sense, and that i live in vegas. the indian casinos payout!!! if you still have dreams of winning big in vegas, pinch yourself, your not in a dream! your moneis all gone, and they are there still laughing all the way to the bank!!!
