For my college class cultures, I'm doing a research project towards American women and women in the Middle east?

will you please give me the sources of these questions?

1) What makes Middle Eastern and U.S.A women different?

2) What make Middle Eastern and U.S.A women alike?

1] ME women tend to live in extended families

2] The religion is way of life with ME women

3] The ME women accept male supremacy with out much ado

4} The ME women dont like to mix easily with men

she do not have to work, because the community should take care of the women specially when they get olde and sick, if she was divorced or widow, she will not live alone, her family they must by the law power take care of their mum,

i wil advice you to check Syria Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt , not Saudia arabic they will give you bad example and wrong image about the country in general

Your question is not easy to answer if I want to answer it properly. Middle Eastern women are not all alike. Please take into consideration that for example Israel and Saudi Arabia are Middle East countries. Do you know how different  women's life are in these countries? Said this, how to compare a woman's life in the Middle East with a woman's life in the USA?

Let me answer your questions in general regarding point

1: One big difference is the Religion (Islam), the way of clothing, many times  depending of the husband/family,  sometimes arranged marriages (in the ME), no s*x before getting married, being a virgin until you get married, no abortions, no single mothers, more family orientated.

2. The clothing under the Abaya, to get a good education, to land a good job, to find a good husband and to have a good live.

Point is, that every woman no matter where she is from wants to have a good life and be treated with respect.

These expectations may vary from how and in which society girls grow up.

If you want to know how women from the Middle East and United States are alike and different-I would say the biggest difference is culture which includes religion. I think  religion plays a big part the the Middle Eastern Culture-in United States there are cultural difference by region and race since the US has a very diverse population. I think that ways that we are alike is that generally we all love our families and want what is best for them-especially our children.
