How do they cut the lines of grass on a football pitch??

U know those lines that they use to check if the players are offside or not....how do they cut them so that they are different colors??

  1. They're cut by simply running the mower in one particular direction over the course of several cuts when the grass is damp.

    And the lines are not used to judge offside - not all football pitches have straight cuts, some are circular and some are diamond / jacquard patterned.  These take more complicated cutting regimes, but it's all in the grass care.

    They cut the grass in such a way that between two lines there is alternatively dark green and light green.

    It use to check offside, it is in such a way that the places which are more green at that place the grass is cut less so the grass is more greener than the other.
