if i have a better job then my daughters dad, does that mean i wont get as much for child support?

  1. I believe it goes by a certain percentage of his income.  


  2. No they don't take into consideration your income. It is only based on his because they are trying to take a percentage out and give it to your daughter. What you make has nothing to do with that.

  3. no it does not. trust me on this. most states have changed the laws to reflect that 20 percent of dads income is taken.  in states like texas- it is not decided by how much mom makes- its what dad makes and then they allot 20 percent to child support.  that is the standard. check you states local child support and child custody laws.
