  1. After Qualifying they go in order from first to 43rd and the crew and the driver get to decide where they want to pit. Thats why you tend to see the first and second driver taking up the first pit spot and the last because they are easy to enter and leave.


  2. The teams get to pick their spots depending on where they qualify.

  3. Their qualifying position determines the order of who gets to pick their pit stall for the race.

    Eg. This weekend at The Glen.

    Kyle Busch was 1st due to the rain out, so therefore he got to pick 1st, then Dale Jr. 2nd, & so on & so forth until all 43 are accounted for.

  4. The qualifying position determines the order of pit box choice. Pole winner gets 1st selection. Outside front row gets 2nd selection... All the way to the last selection by the worst qualifier/past champion/top 35 in owners points.
