I know they put formaldehyde and stuff in the body, but what else do they do to it?

Do they remove some major organs and stuff to or what?

One of my biggest fears has always been to be declared dead, get buried and wake up in the ground the next day and no one will be able to help me! I would suffocate, dehydrate and starve. Not to mention, I would go insane from claustrophobia!

  1. The 5 Stages of Embalming

The blood drains directly into the sewer system.

During autopsy all the internal organs are removed and inspected by the medical examiner and then placed back inside the body or sometimes incinerated.

The treated organs are then placed back inside the body or the bag full of organs gets placed at the foot end of the casket (so never try to admire a deceased’s shoes!)
