  1. They hire movers with "riggers licenses", and hoist it up.  Some of the buildings may have freight elevators.

  2. In my expierence in the furniture industry as a store and warehouse manager, there are several ways to accomplish moving furniture into multiple story buildings. As someone has already said a lot of buildings have freight elevators. For the buildings that don't, we use to lower the elevator to the basement floor and then put the furniture on top of the elevator and stop one floor short and the furniture would be on the correct floor. As well they do make a complicated hoist system that you can use to help you get furniture up stairs or pulling it up the side of the building. In the end it will always depend on the building, furniture and the company that you hire to do the work. Just remember to hire a company that is bonded and insured and try to make sure that they are familiar with moving items into multi story buildings.

  3. alot of the furniture is constructed inside the condo, mostly brought in peices then put together
