Ok I was thinking about this, I don't think you're allowed to sell your baby, but if you're pregnant and people are wanting to adopt from you so they don't have to go get one from Africa or something, how do they make sure those people don't sell it to you?

  1. Mainly by documentation....

    There are always birth certificates...

You have to document the child is yours when doing anything...

Medical proceedures, enrollment into grades school.

  2. I think this one of the problems that many adoptees have with the adoption process. Adoption is big business and there are many people who make enormous amounts of money in the "baby" business. A child is a human being not some "hot" piece of merchandise to be bought and sold. Unfortunately, the way the "industry" (I dislike this term very much) is set up, that is exactly how many adoptions is in many cases. The adoption "industry" as a whole needs much reform.

  3. First of all, who is THEY? Lots of people adopt children. It's not necessarily buying them in some cases. For example... If  someone became pregnant and she plans on not keeping the baby, she (the mother) can find a loving couple to pay for all the doctors existences plus the couple will buy her things that she needs in appreciation of the gift she is giving to them (the couple). I hope i am understanding your question. It's a bit confusing.
