  1. A secret known only to cows, but a good question............

have you ever tried to find the meaning of

    U................  Ultra

    H

    T

There I gave you a start, now on with your thinking boots....

  2. UHT means processed using Ultra High Temperatures - they basically blast the milk ultra hot for a few secs which kills all the bacteria.

coz its only a few secs the milk retains most of its taste.

It doesnt stop all the cows farting tho

  3. "JediMonkey" is right regualr milk is pasturized at 110 d F, were there doing UHT at 120-125 and the hemedically sealed tetra paks do keep it the freshness and as the cartons are lined no light can spoil the milk and that is why it does not need to be refrigerated. And it can last 1 year in it a pack, more if chilled so you could store it in a cool basement room for when the bomb comes or the rapture and have it in the next life, just kidding but for an area that has frequent storms, hurricanes or cold weather in the winter that sometimes means a few days in doors it is not a bad idea, like bottled water to have in an emergency, you can at least have a bowl of cereal in the dark??

  4. I always wondered that too!

My roommate and I get this milk from Winn Dixie that seems to last FOREVER. It seriously has like a two month expiration date or something... we always thought it was weird.
