How do they make bath bombs and stripey toothpaste??

I really want to know how they make bath bombs and stripey toothpaste i don't know why i do but thought it would be interesting to find out please share your knowledge if you know??

  1. Bath bombs contain chemicals that react when they hit water to make CO2 ... fizzy.  Typically it's baking soda and citric acid, with some coloring, a scented oil, and maybe a bit of alcohol to help it all stick together.

    The citric acid dissolves, the acid attacks the baking soda and releases the CO2 just like pouring vinegar on baking soda.

    Commercial ones are packed under high pressure, home-made ones are bigger and softer.


  2. Bath bombs I'm not sure about, but the stripey toothpaste I know...

    Cut open the toothpaste tube when you have very little left in it, and you will see that the actual toothpaste is 1 colour. The stripes come from small balls that give off colour in the opening of the tube.
