  1. Usually you make some dough and then cut a donut shape out or roll it up in 1-in. balls to make donut holes.  You then fry it.  At bakeries and places that have donuts, they usually get their donuts premade (frozen dough already shaped) and all they have to do is let the dounts thaw and then fry them or bake them depending on the place.  In my opinon, if I could the recipe right and fry them correctly, homemade donuts are the best!  My babysitter used to make them when I was little and they were the best donuts I have every had....almost makes me wish I could go back to the babysitters place.

  2. The procedure is the same as making bread except that the shape is different and some ingredients too.

  3. well first of all they ......d**n , idk , but i know theres ray guns involved , yeah.....

  4. it varies. traditionally they are shaped from dough and deep fried, then decorated (icing, powder sugar, filling etc).

you can buy donut makers that help with the shaping and recipes.

most chain donut shops are now using pre-shaped partially cooked donuts that are heated ("baked") in a special oven then decorated in the store. not as good as the traditionally fried donuts, in my opinion.
