  2. Gasoline is one of the products created by refining petroleum or crude oil.  Other petroleum products are natural gas, kerosene, and asphalt, and there are many other end products, such as plastic.

    If you want to know more about how gasoline is made from petroleum, see my link about how to make your own gasoline.  I don't recommend it; it is easier to buy it ready-made.  (Biodiesel from waste vegetable oil would be easier at home).
