How do they make railroads and highways?

like i have to explain what kind of material do they use but if theres an earthquake happen it would not brake. so what kind of material that would not brake if theres an earthquake zone.

  1. no way to make a highway or railroad like you want.


  2. I know of nothing in an earthquake that won't break. There are bridges that do sustain quite  well, they actually are made to move in earthquakes, also there are buildings with similar designs to sustain earthquake damage.

  3. nothing in break-proof, they can only make the materials less likely to damage and/or breaking
