How do they measure calories in gum?

For example, if someone were to chew a piece of gum for 10 minutes rather than 30 minutes, would they consume less calories? I know it's a confusing question sorry, but thanks.

  2. they weigh it in grams I did it in science class once

    Chewed gum weighs less than unchewed gum

    and the package says less than 5 or something so if you chew it for 3 minutes you consume less than 5 cals

  3. Probably. On a gum package it usually says less than 5. So I think that chewing it less would make you consume less calories. And once the flavor is gone I think the calories are too.
