Why is it that the media talks about the high gas prices every day while avoiding any mention of Bush in relation to those gas prices?

REPORTER: "You're all talking about the high gas prices, so now here's some quaint anecdotes by whiners just like you. Now, onto another story without mentioning Bush at all whose sole reason for taking advantage of 9//11 was to lay down pipelines in the middle east."

  1. The corporations that own the government also own the media.

  2. Why don't we mention the name of every politician, Democrat and Republican alike that has served in congress since the 1973?  This nation should have learned it lesson twice before, during the OPEC oil embargo and then again during the oil price spikes of the early 1980's, about the dangers of our level of over-consumption and reliance on foreign sources of oil.  Yet in both cases, when prices receded, we, the American Public, went back to our ignorant, selfish, wasteful lifestyles, buying ever bigger SUV's and building ever bigger homes in the suburbs.  Meanwhile, the politicians WE ELECTED did little but bicker amongst themselves, putting together no real energy policy and having absolutely no foresight of the trainwreck which is now clearly visible.  So who really is to blame for the predicament in which we now find ourselves?  Look in the mirror, buddy.

  3. only the uneducated( on politics) blame Bush....

  4. Because Bush isn't to blame for the rising gas prices. I completely agree that only those who are uneducated and like to pass the blame around will blame Bush. The fact is that demand for oil is so high that the price of oil is sky rocketing. Supply and demand. Basic economics. If Bush is to blame, then why is oil around the eqivalent to $9.00 in Europe? I guess Bush controls European demand as well. The fact is the population of the world has risen the cost of gas due to a high demand. The market for oil flucuates every so often. It rises and falls. Give it a few more years and the cost per barrel will go back down. Do you honestly thing that a democrat in office will lower the cost of gas? Sorry to burst your bubble but the President does not have control over the rising cost of oil from Saudi Arabia.

  5. because no one person controls gas prices. why is it that bush is blamed for everything while every past, current, and future president/politician has said whatever it takes to get elected. Grow up ppl, just like you found out there is no boogie man under your bed when you were 10 yrs old  it's time to start being Americans and no crybabies. We all have hardships, I see it everyday when I fill up. until we stop as a nation filling up with saudi oil we'll all be in this rising problem for years to come.

  6. Matt Dz i don't agree with you but i accidentally rated you thumbs up. So now i have to respond. that answer is thumbs down  x 10. Are you nuts. grow up and realize that this world is dictated by who has got the power and the money. And whoever "gots" it does everything to keep it and get more of it.

You must be a RICH right wing Christian republican. nothing against Christian republicans but they seem to be the most enthusiastic supporters of bush.

    I love Christians I'm a Christian-Praise the LORD!

  7. Because his name is automatically associated with everything horrible.  To mention it would only compound the felony.

  8. Well, if it makes you feel better I think about bush every time i see a gas sign, put gas in my car, here the word hybrid, see a prius, get in my car,  hear a report on the news, or read about it in the paper. AND ANYONE WHO DOESNT THINK OF bush needs to see Michael Moore's movie Fahrenheit 9/11. Yes, people note the backslash...its a date not an emergency!!!!!
