How do they move the goodyear blimp from one sporting event to another? Do they drive it all over the country or do they put it on a truck and move it?

  1. The blimps (there are three) are flown from point to point.  Low and slow all the way.


  2. They fly them... Blimps were designed to CROSS OCEANS on submarine patrol.

  3. On Goodyear tires? (har har har, couldn't resist ;>). They fly them, as everyone has said. Blimps are simply too large to go by any other means. A large team of support personnel drive trucks filled with ground support equipment all over the country following the blimps around.

  4. They fly them to the various events.  They are so slow that humorous air traffic controllers sometimes use them as reporting points.  ("Advise when abeam the Goodyear Blimp.")

    They have ground crews with portable mooring masts and support equipment that follow them around in trucks.
