  1. Easiest way would be to reformat ur hardive while installing windowns again, not only you will get rid of all virus and errors but your conputer will start from fresh like a new conputer with no sofwares opening and stuff to make it slower or anoing. If u have inportant stuff save them to either a CD or and External hard drive or even a pen drive and after u reinstal windowns instal an ativirus like for example, my Favorite is Symantec, they give you a 3 month trial and its the best :) install all updates on it and then use ur antivirus to scan the files you saved to make sure nothing had a virus pached to it.

  3. PC virus can be removed by the help of updated Anti virus softwares. By installing a good Anti virus software you can scan your PC yourself for Virus. The software will detect infected files and will restore it.

    Examples are AVG, McAfee

If you are not confident to do yourself you can call a specialist in this case.

  4. Now, removing viruses is usually done by running a anti-virus program, like someone suggested - Avast Home Edition, which is the best in the Market, today. Corrupted file become junk and will be removed by C Cleaner or Advanced Windows Care Personal, which are compatible with Avast. You can further, keep your system in optimal shape by keeping Smart Defrag and running it regularly.

All these programs are free and you can download them from the links I've given you below.

Some Trojans, however, cannot be removed by any anti-virus and need you to use the Registry Editor. However, this is not an area for amateurs and it's worth paying, if you need to, to get this out.

As for  corrupt files, while they are removed, the reduce the functionality of your OS and hence, must be restored for optimal performance. You can do that by putting in the installation in the DVD/CD Drive and booting and then choosing the Repair option which is  restore lost files.

Why do you need to pay so much for the tech? Simple, Knowledge is power. Besides he has a living to earn.

    All the best.

  5. That's the trick. You can always do it yourself for free, but you prefer to call a specialist. And specialists are very fond of money...

In order to remove a virus you can use any good anti-virus with updated bases. Even a free one like Avast is good for that. Malware can be deleted by AdAware, for example. It's also free.

  6. Viruses in Windows often have to install themselves in common startup areas of the PC to guarantee they are executed every time you start Windows.

You can download free versions of reliable AntiVirus systems such as Clam at clamwin.com.

People complain it is a little slower than others but most AntiV systems are slow to some degree since they have to monitor all file system and RAM activity on a system and Windows is the most active compared to UNIX and Mac OS.

also, you can download free anti-spyware applications which attempt to address and protect from malicious code which still isn't classified as a virus.

SpyBot S&D is one of the most popular and is multi-lingual:

You can reinstall Windows but whatever habits resulted in the system(s) becoming infected will likely result in re-infection later.

  7. to remove viruses get antivir free anti virus, and your second question, yes it is easier for you to reinstall windows only if you dont need the data on the drive
