I know how they remove it when you give birth vaginally, but what about when you have a C-section?

  1. They just remove it from the same incision as the baby comes out. They actually took my uterus out momentarily (after the baby) and took the placenta out. Pretty gross I know.

  2. Yes, they do.  They remove the placenta and then have to make sure they get everything back in and together, like the uterus.  It's really involved, actually.
