Does everyone need to do it?

I also hate anesthesia, can I always have the option of doing it awake or is it up to the docotor?

Oh, and is it bad if the tooth seems to be a different shade than my other ones? I can only see the tiniest bit but it looks grayer....

  1. Not everyone needs to do it. But most do. And it's better to since it may cause some really bad complications later on if they do start to be a problem.

It is totally up to you. Either local or general anesthesia. (Numbing in only your mouth area or completely put to sleep). It is better to be put to sleep. Completely painless.

  2. not everyone need them taken out, and some people are awake.  grey isn't good.

  3. You don't have to go under if you just have your normal dentist do it.  He/she will just numb you up really well and yank them out (he/she might break them up a bit first).  You can feel the pulling, but it doesn't hurt at all.  The fact that the tooth is a different shade is normal.  It's new so you haven't been exposing it to foods/drinks/brushing etc that would change it's natural color like your older teeth have.

  4. lots of people keep their wisdom teeth.

depending on how they have to take it out, they may insist that you have anesthesia - as in "going to sleep"

  5. They sit you in front of the TV.
