She has far more experience than Obama, as well as a proven track record. Besides, she's not running for president ~ John McCain is.

...Alaska has about 600,000 people in it.  Most of them are there on federal funding (students doing research, biologists, etc), but there are still hundreds of thousands of people there.  She mayored in a town of 8000...if that's what you mean.  But she was the governor of a state with 600,000+ people...there isn't a state in the Union that only has 40,000 people.

Obama has been a lackluster senator for less then 200 total days, Palin has been governor for 5 years. And Alaska has the same issues as the rest of the 50 states in the union (Obama thinks there are 57), but magnified in intensity. The energy cost up there is huge, and the cost of food is also higher there because product has to be shipped so far away. Any change in the environment is magnified up there because the climate is already extreme. She took down corrupt politicians, managed the military assets to protect the state against foreign fishers in our territorial waters, without creating an international incident ( which obama already created when he said he would invade Pakistan, one of our only allies in the middle east), and managed to raise her family.

She is ready to be president more then Obama is, let alone VP.

I know what your point is. Basically, they are building Palin up on the basis that she is govenor and ran something, when in fact Alaska has no issues similar to the rest of the conjoining states. She can not relate to our issues. I agree 100%. She can not relate to the issues I go through regardless if she is a woman. So what we bleed every month. What makes her relate to me? Obama is a leader of the community. Why did he need a title to have the character necessary to work hard for the people? He can relate to the average American and that's what matters. Palin can not. Just like McCain.
