  1. They give kids a way to imitate people who use stroller with their babies.  Pretending to be a primary caregiver could help kids learn to grow up to be good parents.

  2. they help them develop imaginative play and social skills...but just as importantly they are just fun

  3. They DON'T in fact we can all thank these new baby toys for encouraging our children to become parents at a young age. From the time they are toddlers we as a society are teaching them it is "fun" to have a baby. My children are not allowed to play with these toys...EVER. There are plenty of developmental toys out there to actually teach our children good lessons no poor morals.

  4. Having a doll stroller in a preschool class room can provide opportunities in several areas in a child's development

Motor Skills:  pushing and pulling the stroller, steering it around the room

Role Playing:  a social skill that is important in successful play with peers

Language Skills: talking during role play to describe what they're doing, where they're taking the baby, etc.

Turn Taking:  a popular toy like a stroller will have to be shared, and it would provide plenty of opportunities for that!

Problem Solving:  using the stroller for multiple purposes.  For instance, using it to transport blocks to another area.

I could probably go on, but I've taken enough space already. Sorry about that!!
