How do trees grow? I'm looking for a really detailed answer, plz.?

trees are 3 parts=roots, shoots,stems.  tree seed germinates and the radicle grows down in response to gravity.  the shoot elongates and grows towards the sunlight, forming the stem.  the root cap pushes down through the soil as it elongates, forms a tap root, lateral roots, and root hairs which will absorb water and minerals and transport them to the leaves.  the leaves photosynthesize sunlight, and the stem grows in circumference as the shoot tip elongates.
