  1. I like points.:)

  2. No tribes are not neccessary but they are a part of the culture of a specific country or region. Tribes are usually good at protecting the environment as their lives are sustained from the land and they protect it and do not overuse the land. They also do not create the pollution that we do in the major cities. They do not create waste and do their best to use everything even what we would call rubish. Many indeginous cultures also have strong religous beliefs that involve the earth .. e.g the aboriginal people of Australia ..

  3. Depends what tribe you are talking about, but in most cases the lifestyle they hold doesn't allow for large population densities. If tribal populations where larger they would end up doing more damage to the environment than we do with intensified organic farming. Imagine if the whole of england started hunting for their living, there would be no animals left in a very short time. Because of their lifestyle they are closer to the environment (both spiritually and geographically), they are better able to see the warning signs  when things are going wrong than us who forage between the supermarket shelves. There is also less waste produced as there is no need for transporting food long distances and to forage the same ammount of food more energy is needed so wasting any of it is more of a crime.

So there are things we can learn from tribal lifestyles, but in our densely populated countries it is not a lifestyle option for the masses.
