  1. As Chris and Krait say.   Also the algae in the ocean.  Algae absorbs more CO2 than rain forests.  They cannot live in warmer oceans.  Even a few degrees warmer is going to kill them off then the largest CO2 absorber on the earth will be gone and that CO2 usually absorbed by the algae will remain in the environment.  Algae also play a role in cloud formation.  No algae, no clouds.  Additionally, warmer oceans will release the methane in the huge bubbles on the ocean floor and release it into the air.  Methane is a 20 times more effective greenhouse gas than CO2.  Include this when you think about the implications of global warming.  Diminishing rain forests are only part of the problem.

  2. it is rather the lack of them that affects it

  3. glomal warming is a bunch of c**p.

  4. Tropical rainforests take in carbon dioxide gas, which can be released by deforestation.  Destruction of the South American rainforest releases just as much carbon dioxide into the atmosphere as all of the cars in America combined.

  5. dead trees help promote global warming

  6. As long as it's a plant or tree it take in carbon dioxide with it photosynthesis and carbon dioxide is one of the gases that cause global warming.Rain forest is also habitat for many animal and vegetation, some are valuable herb or medicine and animal when they get extinct it affect the ecosystem.Lastly it act as a water catchment and a place for us to hike!
