Usually owner operators have either written or verbal contracts with one or more brokers who supply them with loads and take their percentage. I would suggest if trying to hire a truck driver to take loads for your company to check his employment history and driving record. It is much better to complete a written contract agreement that clearly states all the parameters that concern you.
