I made both of my kids use a pre paid first and once they showed they were responsible with both the phone and the usage of it, I added them both to my plan.  They are really inexpensive at Walmart.

Well, I got mine, because I walked to school and I suggested that it would be a good idea that I carried a mobile for safety, but don't push em, just try to not say that all your friends have on lol

Talk to you parents. Tell them it is important to know that if you get into trouble or an accident that you can use you cell phone to get help. I think it is important for the childs safety as parents can know where their child is aswell

Move to Beverly Hills, or some other rich area.  They're required there.  Oh, and sunglasses and a puppy.  Gotta have those accessories too.

A phone is needed for everyone, but dont disturb your parents for a phone.

If you have a close relative or a brother or sister ask them for a phone. Because my brother gave me a nice phone(w580i)

Are you driving yet? If not, you don't really need a cell phone. People used to get along without cell phones just fine years ago. I only want a cell phone because I'm afraid if I got into a car accident or broke down somewhere, I'd want to be able to call my parents right there, not have to walk somewhere and ask to use their phone.

If you are driving though, maybe you can do what I plan on doing, act like you're car wouldn't start and that's why it took you forever to get home because you had no one to call to help you fix it and eventually it just started again on it's own :p

It's lying, I know, but this is what I plan on doing. I really really need a cell phone.

And another thing that could probably work is to offer to pay for all your cell phone bills.
