  1. First of all a URL is basically a link to an internet website; usually beginning with http://

To add a background to your YouTube profile:

    1. Log onto YouTube and go into your channel profile page

    2. Select the "Edit Channel" tab

    3. Select the "Channel Design" link on the left side

    4. Go to the section titled "Advanced Design Customisation"; under this you need to go to "Background Image"

    5. You will need to enter a URL image address into this section. The address must start with http://www.

    6. You can get images from

    http://www.yahoo.com

    http://www.google.com

    http://www.photobucket.com

    7. If you are using Yahoo or Google, simply log on to the website, click on images, type in what you are looking for, click on a picture you like, then click or the "view image" link or "see full image" link.

High-light the address in the address bar, right click it and select "copy", then paste it to YouTube.

    8. If you are using PhotoBucket, log on to the website, type in the image you are looking for, click on the image you want, then click on the text "Direct Link", this can be used as an URL for YouTube backgrounds. By clicking on Direct Link, it will automatically copy it, so just right click and paste it to "Background Images"

9 When your finished, click the "Update Channel" tab

  2. URL- a link

use photobucket, heres and example of a costume made back ground, first you put it on paint, then make a photobucket, then on photbucket on the homepage it say upload, upload watever you made for it, then you can crop/design do watever you want with it. i hope this helped,

    http://www.youtube.com/user/maolsinc

    maols_inc@yahoo.com

  3. I was wondering the same thing...

  4. You go find a picture u want as ur background, then u can either copy the URL (which is the link) or right click on the picture.. click on properties and copy the address (url) and then go to your youtube channel click on edit profile, and then click on channel design.

and paste it in the background box.

  5. a URL is teh web address of your picture that u want as ur background...u click on the channel design section and the place where it says Advanced Design Customization: there is a section that says Background image...wut u basically do is that u copy ur background image URL by right clicking on ur image...copy image location....or URL....u paste the URL to the box....but make sure it ends with: jpg, png, etc...those kinds of stuff....u can change ur colors of the boxes and the text colors...if u don't havfe a copy image location or URL thing....u copy the web address of ur picture...and paste it...

  6. How to Get a Background on YouTube

    1 Go on YouTube.com.

2 Log in or create an account.

    3 Go to Google

    4 Click on "Images".

5 Type in the url leading to the picture you want.

6 Click on the picture so it enlarges.

7 Right click and hit "Copy".

    8 Paste into Youtube.

    9 Click "Update your Channel."

    10 There you go!

    ---for best editing..

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/lyrics/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

  7. Go into Account, go to My Channel, then press channel design.

The picture you want must be a URL.

Find the picture you want on google images.

Make it as big as possible.

Copy the URL (website), then copy it into the "Background Image" box in the "Advanced Design Customization"

    Then press update channel!

    Glad I could help!

    =)
