  1. turn both k***s all the way left, anti-clockwise till they stop. this is the bottom. then turn each k**b to the right, or clockwise, an equal number of turns or clicks depending setup.


  2. Preload should be adjusted so that the shock compresses about 1/4 of it's travel with all your weight on it.

    Stand over the bike, hands on the grips ans elbows locked, then use your weight to push the shock down- don't bounce.

    The shock should go down about 1/4 of the total distance.

    Many shocks have little O rings installed on one of the sliders so all you have to do is push the ring down, push down on the fork as above, and release. The O ring will show how far it compresses by its location.

    If you are talking about rear suspension, just sit on the saddle with feet on the pedals and take your measurement that way.
