    usually you are automatically enrolled for your 65th birthday. If not you can find the forms needed at the link above

    If you are currently on social security the Medicare information will be sent to you automatically approximately 3 months before your 65th birthday. If you are on SSDI it will be sent automatically approximately 3 months before your 24th month on SSDI.

    If you are just now turning 65 and do not have social security you will have to go to the social security office nearest you to apply for Medicare. You have until 3 months after your 65th birthday to apply or you'll have to wait until January.

    You will also need to visit the social security office to apply if you are over 65 whether or not you are on social security.

  6. You can go to your closest human service building and they will have information on how to fill the paperwork out.
