  1. I just answered this question very recently and in the theater and acting section this question is asked DAILY many times. Even though they may be worded differently they all qualify as asking the same general thing. But I will help you just because I have nothing better to fill the void space of time here. You must start out with classes and lots of them: acting classes, school drama electives  and camps, dance classes such as tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, or lyrical dance. Then you start to do things like choir and voice lessons to help your singing voice. Then when you have a lot of training for your resume` you can list these things on your resume` when you're auditoning. Auditon for plays everywhere you go: school plays, plays at your local community theatre and church. Then when you have enough you can get a reputable agent to help you find acting jobs.

  2. do alot of research to see what movies or shows are being filmed in your area. if you qualify for the kind of person their looking for to play an extra or character...go audition! you can also send your headshots and resumes in to certain companies, if your needed, they might call you and ask you to be an extra! good luck!

  3. Congratulations on your aspirations! I assume that your ultimate goal is to become an actor in a movie, instead of an extra. If this is the case becoming an extra or background actor may not be the correct path for you. Most people that start their careers off as extras never progess onward, because you get cast as an extra. One reason to become an extra (only for a few jobs) is if you feel like you need experience on a real set and want to observe how actors work, otherwise you should focus on a more local approach. You are better acting in as many as possible plays/ amateur products in your area until you get noticed, you can then get an agent, go to auditions, etc.
