  2. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is NOT a government organization.  They DO NOT HAVE 'cops'.

  3. This falls under Animal Control Officer. Most Counties take care of this. Look in the phone book under County Animal Control or Dog Warden and you should find it. Most workers start by working in the dog pound and after enough seniority, they bid road jobs.

  4. Getting a position as an Humane Law Enforcement Officer at the ASPCA is very competitive. All ASPCA HLE officers must reside in New York State and be eligible for certification as a New York State Peace Officer. This certification is authorized and discussed in the New York State Criminal Procedure Law Article 2, Section 2. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services is designated to administer this certification. If you meet the qualifications, you can send your resume to hr@aspca.org.
