How do u block specific web sites?

i want to block some specific web sites so that my kids cannot enter in the name of the site and have it come up

To block just one site, edit the file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts using notepad.

Or you can try some <a href="http://www.aobo-p**n-filter.com/">web filter</a> software to block unwanted websites.

can sum 1 help me because i keep getting adverts that keep comin up and then my internet has to restart again and again
does any one how 2 block pages??
