How do u bounce sniper shots off of walls in halo 3?

i always see ppl bouncing sniper shot off of wall and now i wanna know so i can use this against them. cause it getss sssoooooooo aannoying. so how do u do it? is it only in certain places or is there a an actual way?

bullet bounce at a certin angle but more the time i c it. it lucky. i usally bounce it off most floors

Its only supposed to work on metal. The angle seems to need to be under 45 degrees, maybe less. Testing in forge is key.
