  1. Well, first of all you should cut ur nails at least a day before your pointe class so your toes can get used to the new length. To cut the nails, first cut straight across. then, file or trim down the corners so they dont dig into ur feet. hope this helped!!!

  2. there's not really a way to make pointe stop hurting. i think your toenails are going to make your toes hurt regardless because they'll be pressing against the toes. I would just suggest not to cut TOO short cause that hurts way more.

so long as you can't see white parts of your toe nails and it doesn't hurt after you cut them. i think that's the happy medium. don't force them to look square or round, just go with your toe/toenail's shape.

  3. hey i no u!!! Glenoak rite???? ne ways, cut them short in the middle of the toe and longer at the sides to prevent in-growns...those  r the worst!!!!!!!

  4. Don't cut your nails too short nor too long. Also, be sure to cut them at least a day before your class starts. :D

  5. Good answer from the user above.

don't cut them too short or too often

and make sure you clip them a day before your pointe class.

    that should help as well

  6. My teacher always told me to keep the tops of my toenails square in order to avoid getting ingrown toenails, and when i cut my toenails too low, the tips of my toes are too sensitive. So my happy place with my toenails is to cut them up to the line where the nail starts growing from the nailbed, and I clip the corners, but not too low. I clip the corners cuz they bend when i go en pointe and its leaves my toes sorer than they need to be. ALSO! I file the nailbeds so that my toenails aren't too thick, so it alleviates some of the pressure of going en pointe.

Hope I helped some (I know I was kinda all over the place lol)

  7. I cut them so that if your looking at your foot from the bottom you cant see your toenails over the skin, for edges and corners clip in a diaganol. it works for me.
