How do u convince your parents to get u a iPhone for your birthday?

For my 14th birthday i want to get an iPhone. My parents can afford it (it is a little over what she ussually will spend though)

My mom can be conviced into anything if i try really hard.

I have brought it up to her before but i need points like WHY I NEED ONE..which i don't NEED one..but why i could use one..her other point was how is that fair to your bro. (16)..what can i say for that..his b-day present was $250...what are some other good reasons...

okay, look sweetie.

i know you want a iphone but i think you should respect your parents decision and let it be. you dont need the phone, you would just like to have it.

dont push your mum into anything.

all i can suggest is offer to help pay for it.

maybe you could work around the house and contribute to some of it?

ask for your birthday/holiday/christmas.

anything like that, then maybe you might get it.

but if you dont, dont worry.

i hear they arnt as good as everyone says.

ive seen many peoples damaged and scratched screens because of the poor quality. but goodluck honey :)

Tell them that if there is one thing you want for your birthday, even if they pool all expenses (all the relatives) into one item, that you would like an iPhone.

Wow... I don't know if this will work. I'm pretty sure you have a phone already so they'll have to pay cancellation fees, and activation fees for the new phone.

As far as a "need" goes, well there is no such thing as an iPhone being a need, unless it has like a GPS or something.

Three words: Puppy dog eyes. Seiously though, just ask your parents nicely about it and tell them that it would be very special if you got it. It's your birthday so it's not that likely they will refuse

Tell them you could use the internet for schoolwork or something like that. Just tell her about some features and how totally awesome they are. And if you have a kinda old ipod, an iphone is exactly like an ipod touch, only with a phone. It has youtube so you can save money cause instead of buying songs and videos, u can watch or listen to them on youtube. As for your bro, the new 2nd generation iphones coming out the 11th only cost $200, and your bro got $250. I dunno about your plan but if u have a $9.99 line on a family plan, all you have to do is pay for data so your entire plan would only be $40. If adding a data plan will be kinda expensive, try to avoid bringing that part up.
