  1. yeah, you gotta find a domain webhoster, and you pay them money to host your website

  2. That depends on a number of things.

First thing you need to do is get some web space to host your site. Now you can get this for free, but almost always you are better off if you pay for the space. You get better features, etc. godaddy has reasonable prices.

Once you have this, you need to actually make your website and upload it to the server (the company that gives you your web space should give you a username and password so you can upload). You need to learn HTML. Even if you use a "visual" site designer you still need to know some HTML to make the site. Microsoft's Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition is what I use, and its free.

You could hire someone to make the site for you, but that will cost money and you will miss out on the experience of making your own site.

So bottom line...Are you serious about having a web site or is it a momentary flight of fancy? I would recommend starting with a free web hoster and some HTML tutorials until you decide if you really want to do this or not. I wouldn't want you to shell out $50 a year for decent hosting only to find out you don't really want to put the effort into making a site. It is challenging to do your self but it is fun.

  3. Try Blink Web or Weebly, their easy to manage free website (or blog) has cool features that include drag and drop capability, switch designs on the fly, youtube and google video, custom html, upload images, flikr photo gallery, visitor stats and more.  You can also buy a new domain instantly, or host your existing domain for free and make it your own (www.yourown.com)

If your looking for something more advanced but still user friendly then try Easy Site Build or Site Builder Designs, they have everything you need in building your own website: domain name registration or domain transfer, web hosting, web builder, site maintenance and email accounts. Everything is laid out in an easy to follow step by step instruction. Some of the features included enable you to add your own themes, videos, images or mp3 music making your site unique to you. Pricing is comparable and affordable too.

I hope that I was of some help and answered your question.

  4. Depending on your skill and requirement, it can cost from zero to a fortune.

If you want it free, you can go to blogger.com or wordpress.com and register an account to get yourself a domain like this - yourname.blogger.com They even provide you pre-made template to choose for your site look and feel. But you can't customize them.

You can also do the low cost way - study some HTML and then buy a domain name and web hosting account to host it yourself. Pretty much everything is possible to do if you have the skill.

The last one is to hire someone to do everything for you. This might not be the cheapest way, but certainly the easiest. All you need to do is list all your requirements and set a due date, and you're done. But be warned, the more you asked, the more you pay.

The fact is - building a website is going to cost you either your time or your money, or both. Choose the option that best fit into your budget and due date.

  5. Hi,

You're staring up a really large mountain right now from the bottom!  The very root of websites starts with Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), you can find hundreds of free tutorials online.  The most official are the W3 schools and they're all free.  To build on that, you need to learn XHTML or DHTML (look them up on the W3 schools.)  After HTML you need to be versed in Cascading Style Sheets, or CSS.  You can get free tutorials on that too.  The Noodle Incident and A List Apart are all good sites to start with.  The W3 consortium also provides links for training on it.  And then, beyond that, you could start learning JAVA and Flash.

MY BEST RECOMMENDATION is to hire it out.  Especially if you are building it for some type of business.  Focus on your proposition and hit up ELANCE or CraigsList to find a freelance designer that can get you going.

If you just want to throw up a website, check out Squarespace.com or Blogger or Google Site Builder to get one up for small costs to free and use one of their templates.

Good luck!  It's fun, but there's a LOT to learn.

    -Chad.

  6. yes of course it will charge in monthly reantal or Yearly rental wise because we use the server online and we do market/ Publish our website in our own way so but I feel beacuse its cost us that we can make earnings through that by adding some adds and get commissions if any one clicks on that add...

I hope you satified with my answer

  7. You can create a free website with Microsoft Office Live Small Business - http://tinyurl.com/olsbfree . It has 500mb of storage and no ads. It has a free online web design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. Currently, MS is offering a free domain name for the first year.

  8. sign up for bravenet free web hosting package. you get a free website builder and domain such as techkid007.bravehost.com

  9. As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.

One of these services is reachable at: http://bluehost-service.atspace.com . Their service is really great and easy to use. This company offers "Free Site Builder" that helps you build your web pages without difficulty if you are not skilled in using any website creating program. (WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get).

  10. Your question is very loaded and there are a lot of good and different answers.  Let us refine the question a bit from what I am reading.

How do you create your own web site...

Ok I won't give you the answer I was given in 1996 when I started learning since a lot has changed.  There is the easy route and the hard route but I suggest hard for a beginner unless you are in a hurry.  Learn HTML to start...if you google HTML TUTORIAL you will get COUNTLESS resources.  Start with HTML because everything since has been based, even if only loosely, on HTML.  With that knowledge you can decide how much further you want to go.  The second step I would suggest is CSS.  Again, a google search will give you plenty of help.  With these two you should be able to put up a fairly basic site.

Now the easy, hurry, route is to get a program or generator to do it for you.  There are free sites like tripod that will not only allow you to host a FREE site but will let you use generators to kind of build the site for you...all you have to know is what you want and how to type because it works like a word processor.

Other easy programs are Adobe Dreamweaver and such.  Adobe has free trial downloads.  Now these are fairly high end but have a decent learning curve and many great resources and tutorials to get you started.

    PART 2...

    does it cost?

Like I said there are places to host for free and if you build it then yes it is essentially free save your time and any software you may have purchased.

Web hosts are out there in masses.  I have worked with virtually hundreds myself and prices vary.  Midphase.com is one of the better priced vs. support and uptime that I have had to deal with.  Dreamhost.com is another and I currently use both.

These hosts will generally host your site and give you a free domain name. (you.com) so that saves you a couple of steps and depending on the registrar (the person that actually owns/creates the domain name) that could be pricey although again google can point you in the cheap route.

In the end there is still monthly upkeep and such so be sure to research and ask more questions...don't spend $$ until you know what you want and are ready to put it up on the WWW(World Wide Web)!!
