How do u delete ipod touch apps?

I want to get rid of a few apps how do u do this?

basically hold your finger down on the app you want to delete, just like you would if you wanted to move the icon, once it starts to wobble there will be a little x apper near the app, tap that and it will delete

Hold your finger on it.... Either that or double tap I don't remember, but soon the screen will start shaking and you can delete what you want
