How do u edit???

Question

soooo .... i have some songs i want to make dances for but i dont want ALL of the song ..... how do i edit them and take some parts out

i know ppl who do like dance squads and stuff do this all the time but how do u do with out having to pay for it??

i know that if you have a macbook, you can open the song in garage band and edit it and even combine with other songs to make mixes.
