How do u fix a radio on a 86 chevrolet cavalier no display no nothing no turn on ect?

no display on radio, no sound thru speakers nothing happens when you turn the on botton on. how do i fix this horrable problem

Check all the fuses. ALL the fuses. Even the ones under the hood. If they are all good, then you will need to replace it.

It could be many things.... 1 it could of had the battery disconeccted some cars (i dont know about a cavalier)have anti-theft mechanisms this would cause you to have to input a numerical code , it will be in the owners manual.Maybe a simple power supply problem....perhaps you should check the wiring in the back of the box.Did it work b4?Maybe it shorted out check your fuses.If all else fails take it to bestbuy and pay 100 bucks.....Good luck!

Check the fuse in your power line.  You should have a fuse block either under the dash or under the hood.  It sounds like a blown fuse.
