  1. I'd echo JD's comments about trying to write through it.. Writing anything, even if it sucks, will help.  And remember that the first draft is supposed to suck, it's the raw purging of your idea onto paper.  It's the subsequent revisions and edits that make a story truly great.

But if you still have trouble, try reading a good book.  It will get your brain to return to an imaginary state of mind (as you picture the world and characters that the author presents to you).  I've also found that reading other's work will spark ideas of my own.  And this may help with the story you're currently working on, or it may spark a new idea, and that's okay too.  You can always come back to this one later.

  2. you fix writer's block by writing.  seriously.  you have to write through it.  write anything.  don't let yourself be stalled because you can't think of exactly what you want to say - just write SOMETHING.  you can always fix it later.  couple other things 1.  if you are really having a lot of trouble, could be you need to change or drop this particular story and try another 2.  don't be in a hurry.  it can take a long time to write a decent story.

  3. Why don't you try getting some fresh air, or take a break, it may help you with your writing.

  4. The thing that works for me is structure. I use a g.o.t.e. sheet (they are usually used for acting, you can ignore the scene part and use it as a whole, it's up to you). And a few character analysis worksheets as well as story development worksheets. I also recommend the website http://www.writers-block-solution.com/ it is amazing in my opinion. They have a pdf file to download that more than helps past writer's block.

  5. Get inspired by a dream, by a friends dream, by a childhood memory. Think about all possibilities.

If you don't no what to write don't push yourself write a different story and wait until you are inspired to continue the other one!
