How do u get an 8yr old and a 12 yr old to stop fighting everyday?

I have an 8yr and 12 yr old gilrs, they are constantly arguing, not physical but shouting and bickering all the time.. I am so fed up of it...

Make them bond and have them do things together. Thats how me and my brother were. Have them do things both of them like and if they fight try to calm things down. Now me and my brother are like besties.

remember, there are not bad kids ONLY bad parents. Not saying your one, but put your foot down, throw them in timeout, don't feed them, NO TV..etc , etc.

YOu should want your kids to RESPECT you not LOVE you. Once respect is earned, love will come later in life.

Oh boy!  Um, sorry but the truth is that girls are like this and its only going to get worse, and it will last until they are both moved out.  

I was the oldest of 4 girls and had 3 older bros!  Anyway, the thing is that they really need to be seperated alot at this point.  When they are together, if they fight, tell them that 3 warnings to one child will mean that child has to do something NICE for the other one.  Whether it be collect their dirty laundry, do their chore, or write an 'I love my sister' note, or buy her something...  This gets them to step outside of their pettiness and think how the other one feels or what they do LIKE about her.

When you figure it out, be sure to put a patent on it and start searching realtor.com for you billion dollar mansion by the sea! Ha, ha! Okay, seriously - it's hard - I think kids enjoy fighting with each other sometimes. If I get really fed up, I will give them an ultimatum like "if you guys don't work this out, we're going to skip cartoon time" or something to that effect.

LOL. You can't. I know I use to argue with my siblings all the time when I was that age. I didn't really stop until I was like 14 or 15.

they were together where ever they went now they are close.

if your 12 yr old gets to have someone over the 8 yr old joins

make them have a party inviting both there friends.

my lil sister and bro fight ALLLL the time...over nothing.....my mom just lets them arugh...there isnt anythng you can do..but ingnore it...at least they arnt saying " we arnt aruing we are discussing"(me. my sis ...my bro all say that when mom asks WHAT we are arughing about...)....oh mom says...dont do anything about the arughing it helps them be good team members in a business situation later on in life(wich is true...im in college and a team fights but always finds a resolve...)................................ let them fight ....its good for them........oh..and if you cant ignore...get ear plugs

OMG mom is that you. LOL i am 12 (almost 13) and my lil bro is 8. we argue al the time cuz he smacks his food.. LMFAO!! and this is like a REAL coincidence. ahhahhahaha!! except 4 the fact that they are 2 GIRLS! wow i'm lame... No but its probably impossible since that 12 year old has reached or is closed 2 reaching her period.
