How do u get from Johto to Kanto in Pokemon Crystal?

Question

I've got all the badges in Johto and i've beaten the elite four. I also have a S.S ticket but i don't know how to get to Kanto.

Go back to your hometown and surf at the little space of water...then the next space of land is kanto region

after you beat all 8 gym leaders, you can go on a ship that will bring you to the kanto region. have fun playing
