Question:

How do u get over a phobia of spiders without touching them?

im terrified of them and my room used to b an old workshop so its full of em.

  1. uuuuu start liking them and start learning about them its called spiderphobia.....................i think lol

Learn about them, read as much as you can, and look at pictures. once comfortable with that go to your local pet store or a rescue centre and tell them you have a phobia. they may then allow you to go and sit and watch the spiders, then eventually you could clean their housing and eventually the handlers may allow you to have contact with them. Hypnosis and visualisation do help as long as you do the physical parts too. Do it regularly so it becomes routine and also learn relaxation techniques to help overcome the panic sensations.

  5. Buy urself a rosehair tarantula and read up and study it....they are a very interesting animal.  I hate house spiders but love the larger varieties....Hope this helps...also fear of spiders is called aracnaphobia..I think the spelling is correct...lol

  6. here are a few ways: One go to a respectable pet store and buy a Captive breed Tarantula ;) or I could sell you one. watch them grow see how they live. Then you will also learn they are not dangerous animals. also try and realise if spiders were not around your home would be a pest haven.

    And I will say I have seen many people get over their fear of spiders by just holding a tarantula once.

    Spiders do so much for the world and all people do is trash and make up lie's, and myths about them.

    A fun fact for you 95% of all spider bite claims are not even a spiders bite. most bites which you think are spider bites are more than like that of an ant, mite, or mosquito.

    Another one no one has ever died from a tarantula bite...

  7. Touch one. Once you've done it, you've won. It's tough though. (I used to be sh*t scared of spiders, but I startred on a small one and now they're not a problem).

  8. Trust me, just touch them, they can't do you any harm, or you could try hypnosis.

    What is it about them that you don't like?

  9. Visualise holding a spider for a long time, this should work in the same way as holding one if you really visualise and have the feelings you would if holding a real spider. You should eventually be desensitised if you do it for long enough.

    Easier said than done though.
