How do u get rid of backswimmers?

A fine mesh net might work.  

They might bite, but unless you're the size of a bug, or you press them up against some tender skin, they probably cannot get a good enough hold on you to actually bite.

Personally, I like insects (they're just tiny little animals, no less worthy of life than a warm fuzzy cat or dog).   And backswimmers are cool - I think it would be fun to put on a mask and watch them dive.
