How do u get rid of strong smoke smell?

I just got a bed and sheets and what not from my granny.... and she is a huge smoker... well i washed the sheet, pillow cases, and everything.... and sprayed the mattress and bow springs top and bottom with febreeze odor fighter stuff.... my cousin said it was the best.... and it still has the smoke smell.... and i really dont wannt have to get rid of the bed just cause it smells like smoke.... its a nice quite expenses bed..... any ides?

They sell a solution in the cleaning isle strictly for this purpose.

It's supposed to take away smoke smells.

Air the matress outside on a clear breezy day, then vacuum well and spray again with Fabreze.

Another trick is to spread fresh ground coffee on it, allow to sit for a day, then vacuum off.  Coffee absorbs smoke odor.
