  1. you can search for scholarships.

normally you will have to write a paper to state why you would need this scholarship and what it will do for you.

some scholarships are weird like if you have one blue and one green eye, or there is one from halmark that you send in your best greeting card and if they pick it you get the scholarship. duck tape have a scholarship too.

it just take some research on your part.

    good luck

  2. Well what grade are you in? They are moslty for juniors and seniors if we are talking about a high school student. I recieved a bunch of aid and scholarships. This is what I did...i made sure my counselor and the counselor head of scholarships knew who i was and my interest...they always are looking for something that can benfit you. Get to know your school's career technician for the same reason. YOur school schould have a listing of the scholarships they have. At my school there is a scholarship commitee and for those applications you turn them into the school and they select. DO THOSE! The commitee personally knows you...it is usually made of teachers and admin. Also try collegeboard, fastweb, peterson, local newspaper, etc. Google the name of your city followed by the word scholarship. You will be suprised what comes up. For example Los Angles scholarships. This is how I found a scholarship that no one at my school ever heard of and it was a local one. You have to apply. Apply for as many as possible. I applied to like 25 and only got 5...but I got a couple big ones. For next year try walmart, ronal mcdonald, gates millienuim scholarship!(full ride baby), jackie robinson, chamber of your local city, your local mayor, tylenol, rotary, burger king, kiwanis....there are so many out there just gotta look. GOOD LUCK!
