How do u get through MGS4 with no alerts?

I'm too impatient. if u use a tranq does that cause an alert? I can't get throught the beginning without an alert. Give me advice please?

just stay inside the buildings on the right side. there are two ways to get through mgs4. one is through sneaking. the other one is like gears-oof-war type: shoot 'em up. i prefer sneaking and stealth killing. but as i said, players choose how they want to play the game. if you are confident in your shooting skills, then just shoot them all. search for liquid sun on youtube. there's a walkthrough.

If you wanna go through with no alerts you could also unlock the assassin emblem with 50 Knife kills and 50 CQC. Also, for easier knife kills you can knock them out with the non-lethal gun then crouch over em and knife em.

ok tips

1) save alot

2) use smoke grenades and stun grenades alot and gun magazines

3) crouch never run

4)silenced weapons

5)if you dont care bout kills use silenced weapons

6) only kill if nessacary

7)if you get a caution run away and hide

8)save alot

9)you dont have to be patient just know where the enemy can see you

10)desks and good use of octocamo is good

And the Gekko at the VERY beginning don't count as alerts. Just run past them to your destination.

Tranq does not cause an alert. The most handy gun is the Mk. II Pistol. It is very quiet. When you are hiding, shoot the enemies in the head to make them fall asleep. The only way to cause an alert is if an enemy spots you.
