  1. Well, for setting, there are just some things you need to remember.  First.) you always need to hit it upwards, not straight out in front of you, my friend used to do that.  2nd- you have to hit it with your fingers, because you will be called on a catch if you hit it with your palms.  3rd, you need to get out of the way after you hit it, that way someone else on your team can come and save it for you.  Then for other problems you might need to work on, call a friend and ask them to come practice with you.

  2. okay CONTROL. That's you first thing to be really good at. Always get the 2nd hit it makes the game go a lot smoother. Once you get the second hit set it about an arms length away from the net it makes the middle blocker have a way easier time hitting the ball over.

  3. you need to lift weights and have much better arm strength.  Once you strengthen your arms, work on you form and posture with a coach and learn to serve better...it'll kill the other team every time.

  4. I'm a setter and i was having the same problem as you. My dad got me the greatest thing for Christmas and it really helped. Its a heavy weight volleyball called " the setter". You wouldn't use it in a game but it is super beneficial to your wrist and arm strength and some of the people before have said you need to lift weights but the key to setting is wrist strength and agility, not how many pounds you can lift. I recommend it.

  5. One of the things that helped my team win the DoDDs Mediterranean Championship in 2006 (Aviano, Italy) was that our setter frequently executed jump-sets.  Yes, jumping in the air and setting the ball.  They are very useful for bad passes that fly near the net.  Much more handy than setter-tipping, as well.  Have a great day!

  6. grab a ball and a friend and go out and practice! and lifting weights might help, too!

  7. Practice the forms, when you get a good core foundation, mastering difficult passes will become easier.  If you don't have a partner, try doing overhand passes against a wall, making sure to only use your fingertips.

  8. you prabaly just have alot on your mind school, sports, and if you look anything like your profile pic. you have to deal with boys too ( - :

    good luck <3

  9. practice.maybe learn from somebody that already knows volleyball as good as you.watch volleyball games on t.v to help you learn the skills and how volleyball works, read books,or look online 4 some information. I would try to attend maybe a volleyball camp they have all types of levels and is good 4 all ages.
